October 28 & 29:
Today's Lesson: iMovie tricks and Tips and Garageband intro.
Remember that all of you need to know the basics of editing in either iMovie or FCPX. You should try to learn something new about those programs every day. One student received extra credit by googling a "way" to do a certain task in iMovie. That is good initiative. I can give you the answer and am willing to do so, but it sometimes sticks with you even longer if you discover the answer yourself.
PS the question that was google was: how do I adjust volume in the middle of a clip in iMovie.
Here is a contract I used at my previous school for Broadcast. These are the expectations in our class, as well.

_____Instructor As instructor, I understand that a staff member has other obligations and responsibilities. Therefore, I will work with each staff member to make sure he/she fully understands the commitment that is being made prior to assuming a responsibility. I want an open line of communication between staff members, editors, parents and me. Please feel free to call or email me at school. Thanks for your cooperation in making this our best year ever!

High staff morale requires the commitment of each staff member to the teamwork and mutual individual support that is necessary for a successful broadcast. Therefore, each staff member must establish self-discipline in meeting staff and personal expectations and deadlines. If a student does not meet expectations, appropriate action will be taken. Continued failure to meet expectations and responsibilities may result in dismissal from the staff.
